Fear and Frights Be Gone

Surprise! Two visits at Old Stone Well Farm in one week! I couldn’t resist. I had to invite you to my 18th-century home to begin the celebration of Hallowtide — an ancient church tradition running from Oct. 31- Nov. 2.

It’s a time to remember loved ones and to find the courage to let go of fear. And there is a lot of fear lately as the world is indeed a scary place. Fear, though, loses its power when we realize it stems from the unknown.

So, come join me as I share with you some thoughts on why Halloween should get back to its Hallowtide roots, and how it was the clergy from the 1600s wrote volumes on the unexplained things that go bump in the night.

And just a little Halloween fun …drop me a comment and let me know what was your favorite Halloween candy that you loved getting (that is, if you grew up trick or treating).

The Fall of the Leaves

Our Vermont autumn has been beautiful this year…with lots of sunshine and glorious color. And so, when I went on my walk in the woods and around the farm, I just had to bring you along! I hope you enjoy our romp in the crunching leaves together and the message I share with you all that there is always hope and joy in all the changes we face, and many memories to carry us through tough days. Blessings!!

Where Restless Hearts Find Rest

Friends, welcome to this episode of Old Stone Well Farm, where I finally recovered from a wicked cold and was able to take a three-day 18th-century cooking class.

But this was more than about good food. What I learned is that we all need to find our place of belonging where our souls are fed and our restless hearts finally find the rest that comes with knowing you are seen and valued.

Pull up chair and visit with me as we explore together the value of being there for one another! Invite a friend, comment, like…let’s build a larger table for this wonderful community known as Old Stone Well Farm!

Blessings!
