Fear and Frights Be Gone

Surprise! Two visits at Old Stone Well Farm in one week! I couldn’t resist. I had to invite you to my 18th-century home to begin the celebration of Hallowtide — an ancient church tradition running from Oct. 31- Nov. 2.

It’s a time to remember loved ones and to find the courage to let go of fear. And there is a lot of fear lately as the world is indeed a scary place. Fear, though, loses its power when we realize it stems from the unknown.

So, come join me as I share with you some thoughts on why Halloween should get back to its Hallowtide roots, and how it was the clergy from the 1600s wrote volumes on the unexplained things that go bump in the night.

And just a little Halloween fun …drop me a comment and let me know what was your favorite Halloween candy that you loved getting (that is, if you grew up trick or treating).

Remember to press the like button while watching and share with a friend! Blessings!
